After a little while of custom ROM flashing on my SGS i9000, I found the phone had two major problems that I disliked.

HOWTO: Install ICSSGS RC5 on Samsung Galaxy S i9000
Well I updated my phone to RC5 of ICSSGS released by Team Nyx. Team Nyx, I believe, has come out of what the original team ICSSGS was on the Google Code page I link to in some of my earlier HOWTOs for updating the SGS i9000.

I also found that my phone stopped signing into Google Talk and my GMail sync stopped working. These problems were caused by the /datadata partition filling up and were fixed when I applied the script fix.

My Galaxy S needed some cleaning so I figured why not tear it apart and document it for the Interarwebs? I have no responsibility so everyone is a winner!

The Galaxy S is much easier to pull apart compared to the HTC Desire HD A9191. Sorry for the poor photos but I usually use this phone to take my photos so I had to use the Galaxy Tab 7 (P1000). And the camera on that thing is friggen USELESS. Also notice that my phone is very dirty, because I am a concretor and it gets really dirty in my pocket. Read More...
